Introducing Sassy Greetings

Happy New Year!

The first days of January are always full of hope, optimism, resolutions, new projects to commit to. And I’m not immune. Because this January is a whole new beginning for me.

For the past 2 years Lola Design has been housing both my design and my greeting card business. That got to be messy so I decided to split them, and now here I am. Welcome to Sassy Greetings. All you’ll see here is my greeting cards and all the things that revolve round it.

So really, why greeting cards?

Well, the pandemic made me realize that connecting is the most important thing to me. For sure there’s a lot of different ways to connect with people. The vehicle that I personally choose is greeting cards. Spicy, sassy cards that (at least half the time) make the recipent burst out laughing.

Making others laugh is another thing that makes me happy. If I’ve made someone laugh today then I say “mission accomplished.” So when I marry laughter with printed greeting cards I came up with Sassy Greetings.

I believe that connecting and giving our time are the most important things we can give each other right now. We live in a world that’s too fast. Taking the time to actually WRITE a card, put some thought into the content is actually a pretty important gift to give someone.

I often say that my cards are aimed at “women of a certain age.” Women in middle-age, (like me) are super busy building their careers/business; taking care of growing children; caring for aging parents. Family is their priority and they’re feeling the time squeeze.

Which means they probably don’t have time for friendships they way they did in their 20’s.

I want my cards to be the tool they use to connect with each other when they’re busy and they’re far apart. I want women to know they can still connect with their friends, even though they may not see each other often. My goal is to celebrate the friendships that got them this far.

 And to LAUGH.

There’s  a lot of greeting cards out there. Both in stores and online. Mine aren’t soft and glittery and precious. You’ll be seeing more spicy humour, the kind that makes fun of the events we women go through and call “life.” Because if you can’t laugh at yourself, and with your girlfriends...well, it can get grim.

I hope you’ll join me in celebrating connecting with your friends. And it’s easy because you don’t need to leave home. You order cards online, whether it’s a pre-set package, or a package you make up. Your bundle then arrives in your community mailbox in approximately 3 business days.
