So why greeting cards?

Happy New Year!
I hope 2025 started off on a great note for you. Most importantly, I hope you had a great holiday-one which included plenty of fun, great food and time to rest and recharge.
Personally, I had a great holiday. I got to spend time with family, bake up some new treats, play silly trivia games with the whole gang. And it was marvellous. These 2 weeks gave me a deep appreciation for the relationships I have with family members and close friends.
I got a cold after Boxing Day, which meant-forced time to sit back and do nothing. Literally. Sit there and reflect about 2024 and the things that stood out.
And what I realized is that people might not know why I jumped from graphic design into greeting cards. I mean, there are certainly plenty of greeting cards in the market, online, and at craft shows!
So why the heck greeting cards?
It’s really simple: because greeting cards are an easy way to connect.
Specially when you have friends that live far away.
For me, the truth is that greeting cards can do so much for so little:
- they’re inexpensive
- they’re fun (well-mine are. My goal is certainly to make you laugh!)
- the space is limited, so you literally spend only 5 minutes writing-and you’re done.
- they’re an easy way to let someone know you’re thinking of them and missing them.
For me, greeting cards are the perfect vehicle to connect with those we love. And because I’m me, they’re also the perfect way to make people laugh. I get to design funny cards that make women my age laugh at themselves and with each other.
So there it is. My cards are an easy tool to help people connect.
